Frequently Asked
Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching typically involves a series of one-on-one sessions with a client and coach, to assist a client in tapping into their vision of their best life and setting goals to achieve success.

Coaching sessions are typically 30 minutes and can take place in-person, over the phone, or through a video call.

Group coaching involves a circle of people committed to positive change, supported by a coach who guides and facilitates the process. Groups typically commit to a series of sessions together and agree to confidentiality.

What are some reasons people seek coaching?

A coaching client may make an initial appointment because they are seeking to improve something specific; their sleep quality, their mindfulness practice, their self-care and self-compassion, their exercise habits, their connections to others, or any number of things...

Some coaching clients come to coaching very goal-focused.

Others begin coaching because they are facing a challenge or transition (e.g., burnout at work, empty nesting, divorce, career change) and they are not sure yet which resilience skills they need support with. It's OK to start an initial session simply wanting to "feel better" and cope with challenges. It's my job to help with the next steps! I aim to take you beyond "coping" to flourishing!

What is coaching not?

Coaching is not psychotherapy. My training does not qualify me to diagnose or treat mental illness.
Coaching is not associated with multi-level marketing. I am not selling any supplements or products.
